I don't think there are too many people who haven't heard of The X-Files by now. It's probably 20th Century Fox's most famous weekly series, and I'd say it's almost the most famous series.
Created by Chris Carter eight years ago, the pilot aired in '93, creating a series that has lasted for 7 years so far , a big screen movie, and a spin-off.
It would also come to attract big writers, like Stephen King, Tom Maddox, and William Gibson.
It also has the best cast -- and crew -- imaginable.
With The X-Files, you get an unusual combination of drama, science fiction, horror, comedy, emotion, and just plain good acting and writing. If you haven't seen it yet, watch it. And give it a chance. Remember, every show has it's bad episodes. :) I guarantee after you've watched a few episodes, you'll be hooked.
